Liu Jitang, Vice President of Lianxin Technology, said in an interview with reporters confidently, “What the market wants is what we have.” He also said that Lianxin Technology expects to reach 25 million shipments this year. Assuming that China Mobile plans to sell 40 million TD-SCDMA terminals throughout the year, Lianxin Technology’s chip market share may exceed 60% in 2011.

The completion of the self-developed silicon strategic layout of the three new chip solutions, means that Lianxin Technology has completed the strategic layout of self-developed chips, which can fully cover the various market segments.

The three chips released this time are: LC1710TD-HSDPA/GGE baseband processor chip (55nm), LC1711TD-HSPA/GGE baseband processor chip (55nm) and the industry's first TD-LTE/TD-HSPA dual-mode baseband processing. Chip (65nm) LC1760.

According to report, the relevant programs and products of these three chips are expected to achieve mass production during the year. Among them, for the low-cost feature phone and wireless fixed phone market, based on the LC1710, Lianxin Technology has introduced the DTivyTML1710FP low-cost feature phone solution and the DTivyTML1710FP low-cost wireless fixed phone solution.

In the field of smart phones, Lianxin Technology has launched the DTivy L1711MS smart phone Modem solution that can be used in cooperation with many mainstream application processor manufacturers. The solution can cover high-end, medium- and low-end mobile phones and other intelligent terminals such as tablet computers.

For TD-LTE, Liu Jitang said that the LC1760 will support terminal manufacturers to launch data cards in the middle of this year to participate in TD-LTE scale technology trials. He said, "The release of the LC1760 is a roadmap for LTE multimode solutions, and the product is scheduled for volume production at the end of this year."

With its mature solution products: full-featured mobile phone solution DTivyTM L1808B (65nm) and single-chip smart phone solution DTivyTM L1809 (65nm), Lianxin Technology has achieved comprehensive coverage of converged terminals, feature phones, and smartphones.

The low-cost and stable Modem matched with the high-end APs will provide medium- and high-end smartphones that are expected to help Lianxin Technology catch up with the wave of demand for mid-to-high-end smart terminals that may emerge in the market. According to report, at present, Lianxin Technology LC1711 can successfully adapt more than 30 kinds of AP.

In fact, many international leading semiconductor manufacturers all have strong AP capabilities. As long as these manufacturers replace Modem with TD Modem, high-end TD-SCDMA smart phones will appear in large numbers.

In addition, due to its low power consumption and small size, the LC1711 also has an important market in the area of ​​tablet PCs and various types of smart terminals. Even its solutions and its subsequent evolution products can be applied to the Internet of Things (IoT) and Vehicular Interconnects.

"Compared with the shipment ratio in 2010, the proportion of self-developed chips and joint chips will be reversed in 2011," Liu Jitang said.

According to report, in 2010, Lianxin Technology achieved a total shipment of 13 million pieces, of which about 1.5 million chips were self-developed, accounting for about 12%. If the ratio of self-developed chips to joint chips is reversed, the proportion of self-developed chips shipped this year will be close to 90%.

Among them, Lianxin Technology will consider dual-mode support for LTE TDD/FDD (R9) and DC-HSPA in 2012 in terms of LTE format, and smoothly transition to LTE_A (R10) version in 2013 to support WCDMA and MC-HSPA+. In the field of chip technology, Lianxin Technology plans to upgrade from the current 65nm to 40nm in 2012 and to 28nm in 2013. In terms of software platform, Lianxin Technology adopts the same strategy of both LARENA and Android, and gradually realizes support for the rest of the platform products.
