Diodes' new MOSFET components specialize in LED backlight applications
Diodes has expanded its diverse portfolio of MOSFETs with 15 new MOSFET components for LCD TV and monitor backlight applications. The new components are available in the camphor O252 and SO8 packages with high power handling and fast switching to meet the requirements of high efficiency CCFL driver architectures.
Liang Houquan, director of technology marketing for Diodes Asia Pacific, pointed out that the 30V rated dual N-channel DMN3024LSD?裼糜O8 package is suitable for push-pull inverters and saves space compared to other discrete components. For full-bridge and half-bridge topologies that require a pair of complementary components, the DMC3028LSD provides a comprehensive combination of high efficiency N and P channel MOSFETs.
The expanded TO252 MOSFET family offers optimized resistance and gate charge performance for backlighting applications with multiple sets of lamps, catering to higher power handling requirements. The 9 new N-channel components and three new P-channel components have drain/source voltages between 20V and 60V.
