First, the overall plan of intelligent LED lights

Intelligent LED lights are designed through hardware and software to achieve: 1) Color adjustment. 16 million colors are freely selectable, and the required color can be generated according to user requirements; 2) brightness adjustment. The amount of dimming is between the total off (0) and full bright (255) values, that is, there are 256 levels of brightness adjustment; 3) color temperature adjustment. Output single-channel yellow LED control, adjust the yellow light brightness control color temperature according to the required application scene, provide cool white and warm white two-color lighting; 4) Provide APP software supported by smart phone to realize Bluetooth wireless control LED light; 5) Select mobile phone Different scene modes preset in the APP meet the lighting color requirements of different scenes; 6) Bulbs with a total power of no more than 9 W can be wirelessly connected and controlled by Bluetooth.

According to the above functional requirements, the designed system is shown in Figure 1. It mainly includes the following functional units: Power management, providing different sizes and types of power supplies required by the system; Bluetooth 4.0BLE control module, implemented between the smartphone and the smartphone The wireless communication also communicates with the high-voltage linear constant current drive IC through the IIC protocol to complete various control functions. Second, the hardware design of intelligent LED lights

2.1 Power supply design

The system requires two power supplies, a 3.3 V power supply for the Bluetooth 4.0BLE module and a DC 220 V power supply for the high voltage lamp bead. AC 220 V power input, after full-wave rectification and filtering, becomes DC voltage. Ideally, the average voltage is around 198 V and needs to be stepped down by a step-down AC/DC chip to a 3.3 V DC output to power Bluetooth 4.0BLE. The maximum operating current of the Bluetooth 4.0BLE module loop does not exceed 10 mA. In design, considering the derating 70% design, the maximum output current of the LDO buck chip is about 15 mA.

The constant voltage power switch chip SM7205, which is a low-power switching power supply, is used as a step-down AC/DC. The output voltage is 3.3 V at a full voltage of 90 Vac to 264 Vac, and its maximum output current is as high as 1.2 A. Under different loads, the requirements of the Bluetooth 4.0BLE power supply are met within the range of constant voltage accuracy. In order to ensure the output accuracy of the power supply, resistors R1 and R2 select a chip resistor with a precision of 1%. In order to enhance EMC performance, lightning protection and surge protection circuits are required in the 220 V AC input circuit (see Figure 2).



2.2 Linear high voltage constant current drive design

Following the principle of cost and performance, the LED driver power supply uses a linear high-voltage constant current chip SM2135. The chip has 5 independent output ports, and also integrates IIC protocol input port, which can receive MCU output signal to control the output current of each port. The chip uses PWM to control the constant current mode to drive the multi-core package HVLED lamp bead. The high-voltage lamp bead has the characteristics of high voltage and small current, which can solve the problem of hot pressing when the low-voltage LED light source works. The designed circuit is shown in Figure 3.

The SM2135 supports up to 5 constant current outputs, each of which can be individually controlled. Among them, the OUT1 /OUT2 /OUT3 pins of the chip output are used to control the RGB three primary colors, and the maximum output current per channel is 45 mA. OUT4 /OUT5 are used to control both cool white and warm white, with a maximum output current of 60 mA per channel. Because the red LED bulb drops to 2 V, the green/blue LED bulb drops to 3 V, LED1 to LED2 are red LED beads, and the LED bulbs are connected in series to meet DC high voltage.
