According to AIXTRON insiders, the high-tech LED reporter revealed that AIXTRON expects revenue to reach 450 million euros (about 4.043 billion yuan) in 2011, of which the Chinese market will account for 40% of its total revenue, which is 180 million euros. (about 1.617 billion yuan).
Perhaps this tempting data is not difficult to explain Tianlong Optoelectronics' big move on the LED epitaxial core device MOCVD. In fact, domestic companies are far more than the Tianlong Optoelectronics. In recent years, more than a dozen companies or institutions in China have developed several MOCVD prototypes, such as the Institute of Semiconductors of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the cooperation between Zhaoxin Group and Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Qingdao Jiesheng Optoelectronics and Xi'an University of Electronic Science and Technology, but in the end they all fell short. It is not possible after the launch of the prototype. In January 2010, the Zhaoxin Group's MOCVD prototype went off the assembly line, but it ended up with a disappointment.

According to the announcement, Tianlong Optoelectronics' first phase of funding is 75 million yuan, of which the company's own funds are 60 million yuan, and other financing and application government subsidies are 15 million yuan. After the company is started, it will apply for project subsidy funds to relevant government departments at all levels.

The person in charge of the well-known epitaxial film manufacturer in China bluntly told Gaogong LED, "I am not optimistic about this project. It will not be possible in China for the past two years, at least until 2013."
According to Tianlong Optoelectronics Planning, it is planned to cut into the market at the end of 2012 and sell 1-2 MOCVD equipment to verify the performance of the products and establish the brand of the products. In 2013, if only 3% of the domestic market, that is, 8 MOCVD equipment sales, the industry scale will reach 100 million yuan; by 2014, 8.5% of the market, sales will exceed 450 million yuan; by 2015, If the market share increases to 15%, the industry scale exceeds 900 million yuan.
AIXTRON insiders said that these companies that produce MOCVD equipment will not be competitors.
Although the industry's views on domestic MOCVD are not the same, if a listed company like Tianlong Optoelectronics can develop MOCVD equipment suitable for the market according to the planning progress, it will undoubtedly bring good news to the Chinese LED industry.
