Saiwei launches two drive power PSR architecture chips

Saiwei Technology recently introduced two new PSR architecture chips SF6010 and SFL658 that drive power BJT. Among them, SF6010 is suitable for the charger field, which can achieve ultra-low standby power consumption of 30mW and high-precision constant voltage constant current (CV/CC) characteristics of less than ±5%. SFL658 is suitable for low-power LED lighting field, which can achieve less than ± 4% high precision constant current.

Saiwei Technology pointed out that most of the current analog PSR systems use PFM control, and the benefit of PFM control is its excellent EMI performance. However, in the field of low-power chargers, pure PFM architectures tend to cause saturation of the transformer, causing damage to the system during overload. The SF6010 and SFL658 prevent PWM saturation by using PWM+PFM control near the full load. The PSR system of the traditional PFM architecture is prone to frequency “false triggering” when short-circuited. On the other hand, it is easy to cause the power tube voltage to rise and the bomber, especially in the field of LED lighting.

When the LED performs the board end short-circuit test, the power BJT is more likely to have a bomber phenomenon with respect to the power MOS because its withstand voltage value is relatively low. SFL658 completely solves this problem. Through the patented "smart short-circuit protection" technology, it automatically detects and identifies the short-circuit condition of the system. At the same time, it uses various means to reduce the short-circuit high voltage of the short-circuit power tube and make the high voltage of the power tube when the system is short-circuited. Reduce at least 100V.

In addition, the SF6010 and SFL658 integrate a number of sophisticated protections such as soft-start protection, VDD overvoltage protection, output overvoltage protection, pin floating protection, etc. These protection features greatly improve system reliability and optimize system performance. . The SF6010 and SFL658 are available in a SOT23-5 package.
