Texas Instruments Provides Semiconductor Solutions for New Dye-Sensitized Photocells

Texas Instruments and a new dye-sensitized photocell manufacturer, G24i, have recently reached a cooperation agreement, Texas Instruments will provide power semiconductor solutions for this type of small-scale photovoltaic cells that can be used in indoor applications, so that this photoelectric conversion technology can be applied to drive the mouse, Keyboard, equipment standby, smart sensors and other markets.

G24i's dye-sensitized photocell technology was invented by Michael Graetzel of the Swiss Federal University of Technology. The battery can absorb sunlight or light in the room and convert it into electricity.
