Dialog Launches Industry's First OpenThread Sandbox Development Platform

Beijing, China, June 22, 2016 - highly integrated power management, AC / DC power conversion, solid-state lighting (SSL) and Bluetooth low energy technology suppliers Dialog Semiconductor Corp. (Frankfurt Stock Exchange under the symbol: DLG) today announced Introduced the industry's first complete hardware and software development platform for OpenThread. OpenThread is an open source version of the Thread network protocol released by Nest, released by Nest on Github. Dialog's OpenThread Sandbox development platform includes all the components needed for evaluation and development work, consisting of a Dialog SmartBondTM- based hardware development board, SmartSnippetsTM Software Development Kit (SDK), software tools and documentation.

The OpenThread Sandbox development platform includes a hardware development board based on Dialog's SmartBondTM system-on-chip (SoC). The target audience for the OpenThread Sandbox development platform is engineers who want to use advanced hardware and software tools to explore advanced technologies.
