In the first half of the year, 70% of LED listed companies’ net profit declined

The LED industry is no longer in a hurry. Although the policy in the first half of the year was "intensive", according to statistics from the same flush, 70% of LED listed companies' revenue and net profit both declined. Industry experts said that after this year's adjustments, the LED industry is expected to warm up next year.

LED into a performance-hit area As of mid-August, there have been more than 20 LED industry listed companies issued a mid-year report or performance forecast. According to statistics, 15 of these revenues and net profits both fell, accounting for more than 70%.

Among them, the company's revenue and net profit fell by 14% and 87% respectively in the first half of the year. The Huacan Optoelectronics semi-annual report, which was only launched in June of this year, showed that revenue and net profit fell by 18% and 40%, respectively, which is a typical example of performance change. In addition, although the output of Sanan Optoelectronics nearly doubled, the net profit grew by less than 2%.

Zhang Ming, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the industry's upstream company, Xinli Lighting, introduced: “In the first half of the year, Europe, the United States, and Japan have all set up patent walls for China to protect their own companies.” Insiders believe that “on the one hand, exports are sluggish, and on the other, the industry is still In the state of overcapacity, product prices did not rise and fell, resulting in unsatisfactory revenue and net profit of listed companies."

Industry or next year, however, a number of LED companies are still very optimistic about the market situation. The first reason is of course the goodness of national policies. In the first half of the year, countries have issued 2.2 billion energy conservation subsidies, LED lighting special plans and other policies; local governments have also started public lighting within three years. Experts said: "The policy effect is difficult to release in the short term, and the pull effect will not be released until the second half of the year." On the other hand, the improvement of the technology of the mainland LED companies also allows companies to have more confidence.

In addition, for the first half of the company to get listed and some companies fail. Zhang Ming believes: "The scale of LED financing should be matched with the size of the company and should not be blindly expanded."
