The power part of the traditional elevator is mainly composed of a traction machine (winding machine), a frequency converter, a car, a wire rope, and a counterweight. The traction machine adjusts the balance of the car height by rolling the wire rope to adjust the balance between the car and the counterweight, that is, the upper and lower sides of the elevator. The traction machine is essentially a high-power motor driven and controlled by the inverter, which needs to be placed on the top floor of the building - this causes the elevator to be unable to go to the top floor, because the elevator position of the top floor is driven by the traction machine and the inverter. occupied. This problem has been around for a long time, because in the past the traction machine basically used AC asynchronous motor, and the power is easy to get tens of KW, the volume is very large, and can not be placed in the open air, can only occupy the room on the top floor.

However, with the increasing popularity of PM motors (permanent magnet synchronous motors), the top layer of the elevator has become possible. A major difference between a PM motor and an AC asynchronous motor is that the volume, weight, and power density are greatly reduced, and the space occupied by the same power is smaller. Moreover, the PM motor has better torque output performance at low speed, and it has a great improvement in control precision and control speed compared with the conventional asynchronous motor.
In particular, the traction machine manufactured by the PM motor can make the volume small and flat, and the small traction machine can accommodate the traction machine. Like some of the current industry-based machine room elevator solutions, the permanent magnet synchronous traction machine and its professional frequency converter (thin to 90mm) are installed directly in the elevator shaft, thus saving the space of the roof elevator machinery room. At the same time, the elevator can also pull the car directly to the top.
