Samsung enters the OLED TV market next year and is the first to introduce 55-inch products

According to overseas media reports, South Korea's Samsung Electronics plans to enter the OLED TV market in the second half of 2012. Samsung plans to launch 55-inch large-size products for sale in Korea, Europe and the United States, and then expand its product lineup based on market trends.

According to the report, Samsung's Samsung Mobile Display's world's first OLED panel production line with a 5.5-generation (1300x1500 mm) glass substrate was mass-produced at the end of May this year (with a monthly capacity of 24,000 substrates). The 55-inch OLED TV that Samsung plans to launch will also use the OLED panel produced by the production line. Samsung will also accelerate the large-scale step of the glass substrate to improve production efficiency.
