US Vishay launches white LED with phosphor material
Vishay Intertechnology has launched the surface-encapsulated InGaN white LED VLMW84.. series (in English) using TAG (yttrium aluminum garnet) phosphor materials. The outer dimensions are only 3.4mm3.3mm0.75mm. The surface mount ceramic package CLCC-2 is used. The maximum luminosity is 14,000 mcd and the thermal resistance is 25K/W. Mainly for the automotive, conveyor equipment and consumer electronics products. Mainly used for camera flash, emergency lighting, car dashboard backlights, brake lights and turn signals.
When the current in the forward direction is 350 mA, the luminosity is 5600 m to 14,000 mcd, and the luminous flux is 167,600 m to 44,000 mlm. When the current in the forward direction is 100 mA, the luminous efficiency is 40 lm/W. The half-peak angle of the emitted light is 60 degrees. The product life is 50,000 hours. ESD (electrostatic discharge) withstand voltage meets JEDEC's JESD22-A114-B specification, up to 1kV. In addition, it also meets the AEC-Q101, a vehicle component reliability standard.
It is now available in volume production. The lead time for bulk purchase is 8 weeks.
