The test should also gradually move the electroscope closer to the device under test. Until the conductive part of the device is touched, if the process is silent and light indication, the device can be judged to be uncharged. Conversely, if the device suddenly emits light or sounds during the approaching process, it is considered that the device is charged, then the approach can be stopped and the test is terminated. (4) For capacitive high-voltage electroscopes, the insulation bar is marked with a red line, and the upper part of the red line indicates that there is a capacitive element inside, and it is a charged part. This part should be in accordance with the requirements of the "Electric Safety Work Regulations" and adjacent conductors or grounding bodies. Maintain the necessary safety distance.

When checking the circuit breaker or isolating switch or other maintenance equipment for communication, the phases shall be checked separately on both sides of the incoming and outgoing lines.
