The new chip BCM4358 can provide powerful transmission capabilities, integrate Bluetooth coexistence technology and precise indoor positioning capabilities, allowing OEMs to design high-end smart phones and tablets with Wi-Fi performance doubling.

Content-centric consumers spend an average of 4 to 5 hours a day using Wi-Fi1 networks. The new chip can provide 650Mbps Wi-Fi transmission rate, and can increase the performance when coexisting with Bluetooth by 50%, so consumers can download content twice as fast and watch streaming video with lower buffer time. At the same time, it connects to several Wi-Fi and Bluetooth devices (such as playing electric music while listening to music) without worrying about interference problems. In addition, a one-meter positioning accuracy also helps promote better indoor adaptive services.
