Foundation of Asia's largest graphical sapphire substrate project
On June 13, 2015, the Pattern Sapphire Substrate (PSS) project of Fujian Zhongjing Technology Co., Ltd. held a grand foundation laying ceremony in Longyan National High-tech Industrial Development Zone. Longyan Industry and Trade Development Group Co., Ltd. The company's leader, Dr. Li Kangxi, president of Light Global Semiconductor Co., Ltd. (LGS), represented the design, construction, supervision and other related units. Some customer representatives attended and witnessed this historic moment.
Fujian Zhongjing Technology's PSS project is jointly invested by Longyan's largest mixed-owner LED leading company, Fujian Dehui Industrial Co., Ltd. and South Korea's LGS. The project plans a total investment of 1.05 billion yuan, with an annual output of 12 million PSS materials, including one. The production line will be put into operation at the end of 2015; after the project is completed and put into production, the annual output value will exceed RMB 1.1 billion.
Zhongjing Technology will rely on Longyan Gongfa Group's state-owned enterprise platform to introduce the most advanced sapphire graphics production technology and world-class production equipment to build the world's most advanced and Asia's largest professional production base for PSS materials.
The patterned sapphire substrate material is the material technology upstream of the LED industry. Compared with the ordinary sapphire substrate, the growth of the gallium nitride epitaxial layer on the PSS substrate can reduce the epitaxial defects, and the epitaxial layer crystal quality is obviously improved, thereby improving the GaN-based light emitting diode. The light extraction rate and brightness increase by more than 30% have gradually become the mainstream substrate form of the LED industry. The commissioning of the project marks that Dehui Industrial has occupied a high-end position in the overall LED industry chain, which will drive Longyan Optoelectronics industry to move forward step by step, and has far-reaching significance for improving the technical level of China's semiconductor lighting industry.
