GLII: 2012-2013 China LED Street Light Enterprise Competitiveness Ranking
Recently, the High-tech LED Industry Research Institute (GLII) conducted a detailed survey of the Chinese LED streetlight market, and investigated the production and sales of 178 LED streetlight companies.
The data shows that the installed capacity of LED street lamps in China increased by more than 80% in 2012. The demand for LED street lamps has increased significantly. In 2012, the installation volume of many LED street lighting companies increased by more than 100%.
In 2012, in addition to the following top 10 companies, LED lighting installations include Guangri Electric, Zhongshan Hongbao, Foshan Tovey Environmental Lighting, Shanghai Yaming Solid State Lighting, Shengmao Optoelectronics, Dalian Luming Lighting, Beijing Langboer, Nanke Integration, Shanghai Sansi, Yiguang Solid State Lighting, Taiwan Yuhong Group and other enterprises.
In 2012, the demand for LED street lamps in China increased significantly, but it still showed a lot of situation. On the one hand, LED streetlight projects are mostly government-led project projects, and the existence of local protectionism makes it difficult for LED streetlight companies to compete for orders across the country. On the other hand, LED street lights are the image project of the government. When the government chooses to install the project, the government is more inclined to have a strong capital, and the installation volume and installation quality are good. Therefore, LED street light orders are mostly concentrated in large-scale enterprises.
Due to the uncertainty of government orders, the list of the top ten LED street light companies in 2012 has changed very much compared with the previous year. Among them, Guangdong Dehao Runda, Chongqing Silian Optoelectronics, Sichuan Xinli Light Source, Tongfang Co., Ltd. are the first four companies to enter the top ten.

1. Shanxi Guangyu
Shanxi Guangyu scored 93.8, ranking first. Founded in 1988, Shanxi Guangyu has a total investment of about 500 million yuan. Its main products include LED street lights, tunnel lights, and mining lamps.
Shanxi Guangyu has a good foundation in lighting technology such as LED street lamps and tunnel lights. It has obtained more than 70 national patents for LED lighting technology, and has undertaken the national 863 major scientific and technological projects three times, and is also the “National 12th Five-Year Technologyâ€. Supporting the project" project undertake unit. Shanxi Guangyu high-power LED street lights and tunnel lights have been widely used in large and medium-sized cities such as Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Chongqing, Tianjin, and Chengdu. In the international market, the company's products have been exported to more than 50 countries and regions in Asia, Australia, Europe and America. In 2012, the sales volume of Shanxi Guangyu LED street lamps achieved steady growth, ranking the top in China.
In the 2012/2013 semiconductor lighting product financial subsidy promotion project, Shanxi Guangyu outdoor lighting products (including LED street lights and LED tunnel lights) won the bid, and the number of promotion was 30,000. Linyi City's “Ten Cities and Wanhao†semiconductor lighting application promotion plan plans to promote more than 50,000 LED street lights by 2015, and Shanxi Coslight is expected to be the biggest beneficiary.
2. Advance to the East
Dajin Oriental Lighting scored a total of 92.4, ranking second. Dajin Dongfang is a direct subsidiary of Dajin Jingdian Holdings Co., Ltd., which is mainly engaged in EMC energy management services for LED road lighting products. The main products are LED street lights and LED tunnel lights.
In 2012, Dajin Oriental LED street lamps performed well, and the annual shipments continued to maintain a high scale. At present, Dajin East has installed LED street lights in Tianjin, Chengdu, Zhengzhou, Chongqing, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Dongguan, Foshan, Zhongshan, Yangzhou, Lianyungang, Qidong, Chengde and other domestic cities.
3. Dongguan Qinshang Optoelectronics
Dongguan Qinshang Optoelectronics scored a total of 91.8, ranking third. Founded in 2007, Dongguan Qinshang is the first listed company in China to focus on LED lighting. The products are mainly based on outdoor lighting. At present, there are more than 2,000 employees, including 216 technical R&D personnel and more than 100 LED street lamp patents.
In the 2012/2013 financial subsidy promotion project for semiconductor lighting products, 9 products including Qinshang Optoelectronics including LED street light products won the bid, among which the number of outdoor lighting products (including LED street lights and LED tunnel lights) was 70,000. .
In October 2012, Qinshang Optoelectronics successfully won the bid for the purchase of the sixth phase of the complete set of equipment for the construction of the rural streetlights in Guangzhou, a total of 7,686 LED street lights, with an amount of approximately 28.89 million. In the same month, the company successfully won the bid for equipment purchase orders for Qingyuan's 46,000 street lamp renovation project, about 90 million.
The sales network is leading domestically, and the technology has already accumulated quite a bit. More importantly, with the promotion of Guangdong's LED lighting policy, as one of the major LED lighting companies in Guangdong Province, the company will have a great competitive advantage in the future LED street lamp market in China.
