Microsemi Corporation introduces a new dimmable LED driver module optimized for residential, commercial and industrial lighting worldwide. The new 30W LXMG221W-0700030-D0LED driver achieves 150 milliseconds (ms) or faster start-up time, highly emulating the "lighting" performance of typical incandescent lamps, for home and commercial applications that cannot accept luminaire startup delays Very important advantage.

The new solid state LED drivers meet ENERGY STAR-compliant requirements, provide overvoltage and overcurrent protection, and automatic thermal shutdown to help provide safe and reliable operation. These new LED drivers are compatible with 50 Hz and 60 Hz AC power supplies worldwide, with standard voltages ranging from 120 VAC +/ -10% to 277 VAC +/-10%. The output is a 700 milliamp (mA) dimmable constant current source. The drive meets UL, CUL, CE and EMC industry standards.
The LXMG221W-0700030-D0 LED driver provides high power factor (PF > 0.9) and low overall harmonic distortion (THD < 15%) covering the entire input voltage range at full load to meet or exceed standard requirements. Dimmable to 10% through 0-10VDC (according to IEC 60929), further energy savings using PWM control or potentiometer.
In addition, the LXMG221W-0700030-D0 LED driver complies with FCC Title 47, part 15 Class B and is now in volume production.
