TOREX's 1.6GHz LNA for GPS uses a low-power CMOS process
Torex Semiconductor (TOREX) introduced a 1.6GHz LNA (Low Noise Amplifier) CMOS process, used for GPS-XC2404A816UR-G. The module is driven by low voltage (1.14V ~ 1.26V, when the bias is fixed), with low current consumption (12.0mW, when the bias is fixed), low NF (0.94dB, TYP.) And other characteristics.
TOREX said that most LNA products used GaAs and SiGe processes in the past. However, with the increasing demand for wireless electronic instruments in recent years, the processes used to produce LNAs are gradually developing towards CMOS processes with sufficient production capacity. In order to respond to this market trend promptly and quickly, TOREX mass-produced LNA for GPS using CMOS process.
XC2404A816UR-G is externally connected with a resistor for self-biasing, which can correspond to the power supply voltage of 1.8V or 2.85V. Both input and output can be matched with 50Ω with less external parts. The component is packed in a small package of USP-8A01 (1.5mm x 1.5mm x h0.6mm), which is conducive to saving space.
