FAN501 − Offline DCM/CCM Flyback PWM Controller for Charger Applications
This advanced PWM controller, the FAN501, simplifies the design of isolated power supplies that require constant current regulation of the output. The information of the primary side of the transformer is used and controlled by an internal compensation circuit to remove the output current detection loss and eliminate the external CC control circuit to accurately estimate the output current. Intermittent mode with extremely low operating current (250 μA) maximizes light load efficiency and therefore meets worldwide guidelines for standby mode efficiency.
