How to use Siemens PLC to establish Ethernet communication through Ethernet module and touch screen?
Program description
Siemens S7 300 PLC establishes Ethernet communication through BCNet Ethernet module and Siemens SMART IE touch screen.
Hardware Configuration
Required hardware equipment: S7300PLC; Ethernet communication module BCNet-S7MPI; SMART IE touch screen (take SMART 700 IE as an example).
As shown in the figure: Install the BCNet-S7MPI Ethernet module on the MPI communication port or DP communication port of the S7300PLC, and connect the BCNet-S7MPI network port to the SMARTIE touch communication port.
1. New project
Open the WinCC flexible software, click "Project"-"New", select the corresponding touch screen model (SMART 700 IE), and click "OK".
2. New connection
Double-click "connection" under "communication" and select "SIMATIC S7 200" communication driver under "communication driver";
In "Parameter": "Interface" select "Ethernet"; in "HMI device": "Address" fill in the IP address of the touch screen (such as: 192.168.1.106); in "PLC device": "Address" fill in Enter the IP address of BCNet-S7MPI (such as: 192.168.1.188), and other settings are default.
3. Create a new variable
Double-click "Variables" under "Communications" to create a new variable connected to S7 300 (V area corresponds to DB1 of S7300, and other data areas remain unchanged).

"Mode", select "Ethernet"; "Computer name or IP address" fill in the IP address of the touch screen (such as: 192.168.1.106), and click "Transfer".
