In the first half of the year, China’s import and export of electronic information products reached 452.6 billion U.S. dollars, an increase of 41.8% year-on-year, accounting for 33.4% of the country's total foreign trade volume. Of which, 262.4 billion U.S. dollars were exported, a year-on-year increase of 38.9%, an increase of 7.1% over the same period of 2008, accounting for 37.2% of the country’s total exports; imports were USD 190.2 billion, an increase of 46.0% year-on-year, and an increase of 6.1% over the same period of 2008, accounting for 29.3% of national imports. %.

Exports of electronic components and electronic materials have become increasingly prominent. In the first half of the year, exports of electronic components reached US$35.2 billion, an increase of 52.2% year-on-year; exports of electronic devices were US$29.5 billion, up 69.5% year-on-year; exports of electronic materials were US$2.6 billion, up 65.3% year-on-year. The export growth of the above three industries is obviously higher than the industry average. Computer products exported 99 billion U.S. dollars, a year-on-year increase of 42.0%, slightly higher than the average growth rate of the industry; home electronics and communications equipment exports 39.7 billion U.S. dollars and 42.1 billion U.S. dollars, the year-on-year growth rates were 23.3% and 21.0%, respectively, lagging behind the average Level. The top three products for the export amount were: notebook computers 42.6 billion US dollars, up 59.6%; mobile phones 19.5 billion US dollars, up 21.5%; LCD panels and modules 12.7 billion US dollars, up 74.9%. Imports in most industries maintained a rapid growth, with imports of computers, electronic components and electronic components increasing by 52.5%, 51.9% and 47.3% respectively.

The export growth rate of private enterprises continues to lead. In the first half of the year, private enterprises exported 22.1 billion U.S. dollars, up 71.5% year-on-year, 32.6 percentage points higher than the average export growth rate; foreign-owned enterprises exported 169.3 billion U.S. dollars, accounting for 64.5% of total exports, up 37.2% year-on-year, which is higher than the industry average. It was 1.7 percentage points lower; state-owned enterprises exported 18.3 billion U.S. dollars, a year-on-year increase of 40.1%.

Exports to the EU still maintain a good momentum. In the first half of the year, the top three countries and regions for export of electronic information products in China were the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, the United States, and Japan. The export volume reached 58.1 billion U.S. dollars, 50.7 billion U.S. dollars and 18.1 billion U.S. dollars, an increase of 31.1% and 31.4% year-on-year respectively. 37.2%, lower than the industry average. Exports to the EU maintained rapid growth. For example, exports to Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, and France increased by 60.6%, 63.5%, 69.0%, and 69.7% respectively.

Exports from major provinces and cities continued to expand. In the first half of the year, exports from major provinces such as Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Shandong, and Shanghai maintained rapid growth, with year-on-year growth rates of 55.4%, 50.5%, 50.3%, and 47.2%, respectively, both exceeding the national average. Some provinces and cities in the central and western regions showed strong growth, with Chongqing, Hubei, and Hunan growing by 164.1%, 122.2%, and 107.7%, respectively.
