LED (Light Emitting Diode) lamps are nearly 80% more energy-efficient than traditional light sources, and they have a long service life. They are the main force of urban lighting in the future. However, the lack of product standards has become an important factor that restricts the development of the industry. At yesterday's forum held by the Municipal Federation of Industry and Commerce to enhance the level of development of LED lighting industry in Suzhou, representatives of the LED lighting product manufacturers from our city and related experts actively made suggestions. We recommended that the government strengthen policy support, build industry organizations to study and formulate regional Industry Standard. Problem quality and low price products contusion quality enterprises
In recent years, the city's LED lighting industry has rapidly risen. Last year, sales exceeded 6 billion yuan, accounting for 14% of the city's LED industry, and became a major highlight of the city's steady growth and transformation. In the first half of this year, LED lighting industry production enterprises in our city achieved a total output value of 3.6 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 20%, and the growth rate was 10% higher than Suzhou's new manufacturing industry. At present, there are 102 LED lighting product manufacturers in the city, of which 2,240 patent applications have been published and 1,182 LED patents have been authorized, ranking among the top cities in China.

To further achieve great development, the city's LED lighting industry is facing many constraints and market challenges. Before the symposium, the municipal association of industry and commerce organized relevant companies and experts to investigate the status quo of the LED lighting industry in our city, and conducted a comprehensive analysis of the status quo and constraints of the industry.

First of all, enterprises generally live in the middle and lower reaches of the industrial chain, and the industry lacks core competitiveness. From the distribution of 32 major LED lighting manufacturers in the industry chain, nearly 80% of the enterprises are concentrated in the middle and lower reaches of the devices and integrated applications, and the scale of the enterprises is generally small. About 80% of the power LED chips in the city still need to be imported from foreign countries and Taiwan.

Second, the absence of LED lighting product standards is not conducive to the formation of a fair competition market mechanism. It is understood that, in addition to downlights and spotlights, other LED lighting products lack complete and standard industry standards. The lack of product standards affects the healthy development of the market, and the market for LED lighting products varies greatly, while low-quality and low-priced products often benefit from bidding and tendering, seriously damaging the confidence of high-quality product companies.

It is recommended to establish a complete supporting industrial chain

As an emerging industry with intensive technology, low consumption of material resources, high energy saving, and good comprehensive benefits, the LED lighting industry has played a positive role in accelerating economic restructuring, developing an innovative economy, and promoting the city's energy conservation and emission reduction process. At the symposium, the meeting focused on how to improve the current status of the LED lighting industry in the city and further enhance the level of development of the industry. The participating experts and business representatives spoke freely.

Some experts suggested that the government should strengthen the planning and guidance of industrial development: speed up the development of the city's LED lighting industry development special plan; accelerate the development of industrial development base, the establishment of a technology research center, the establishment of special guidance funds and industrial investment funds, and constantly improve the development of the industry Carrier construction; Accelerating the construction of industrial chain, accelerating the construction of a number of LED lighting industry key projects for each link of the industry chain, building a more complete supporting industrial chain, cultivating several leading demonstration companies with a certain scale, and encouraging industrial optimization. Layout, speed up the construction of agglomeration areas, enhance the effect of scale agglomeration; encourage the establishment of LED lighting industry organizations, and quickly study and formulate regional standards for LED lighting products.

At the symposium, representatives of LED lighting products companies hoped that the government would increase support and formulate energy-saving new technology subsidies. At present, Guangdong, Shanghai and other provinces and cities have introduced series of support measures. Representatives of enterprises proposed taking the public lighting field as a breakthrough to form a work system for the promotion and application of LED lighting products led by the government, market operation, coordination of division of labor, and promotion, and guide enterprises and institutions to accelerate the implementation of energy-saving LED lighting.
