Taiwan's LED lighting factory Taiyi combined with the chip maker Cree, packaging equipment Ronda and Sharp and other strategic partners, launched a "Power Engine" detachable LED bulb on December 18, sprinting high wattage, high brightness LED bulb market.
Cai Wengui, chairman of Taiyi, said that in general, LED bulbs may be damaged mainly by LED lighting modules and power modules. Before the damage, the consumer can only replace the whole bulb; the power module is made into the Power Engine, and the consumer can directly replace the LED module in the future.
He said that the current LED upstream investment is actually surplus, and the annual brightness of the crystal can still increase by 10 lumens. Therefore, the concept of Taiyi is to develop a public board product similar to MediaTek, and make the power module a standardized independent product. It is possible to install LED modules of different specifications according to individual needs.
