Neato Sweeper also supports Amazon Voice Control

The Verge Chinese Station reported on November 27

From smart watches to entertainment terminals to speakers, Amazon's Alexa Voice Assistant now supports a large number of non-Amazon hardware devices. Now, Neato sweeping robots have also joined this camp.

Neato recently released a new software update to its own robot, the Botvac Sweeper, which allows users to control their own robots with the help of Alexa. Feel that your home should be cleaned up. You just have to say "Alexa, let Neato start cleaning!" and your home sweeping robot will immediately start to move.

Like other Alexa hardware integrations, there are some conditions for connecting it to Neato.

First, you need a device that supports Alexa, such as an Echo speaker or Fire TV set-top box, and connect it to the same Wi-Fi network as Neato.

In addition, although Neato has 3 Wi-Fi models - Botvac Connect, Botvac D3 Connect and Botvac D5 Connect - but only Botvac Connect can support Alexa.

But don't worry, Neato's spokesperson has confirmed that the other two Wi-Fi models will also have the same functionality in the future. (Author: Lauren Goode, the compiler: Sean)
