SF6 gas composition analysis

I. Management regulations

According to the GDW 168-2008 "Power Transmission and Transformation State Inspection Test Procedures", SF6 gas composition analysis can be selectively performed when there is a problem with the quality of the SF6 gas or when the accident analysis is performed.

Second, the working principle

        During the operation of SF6 electrical equipment, partial discharges caused by different insulation defects will produce different contents of sulfides, fluorides and carbides. Sulfides mainly include SO2, H2S, SOF2, SF4 and SO2F2; fluorides mainly include HF, CF4 and metal fluorides; carbides mainly include CO, CO2 and low molecular hydrocarbons. Through SF. The component analyzer detects the components and compounds of SF6 gas decomposition products in electrical equipment, determines the type, nature, degree and development trend of insulation defects, and is used for condition monitoring and fault location of SF6 electrical equipment.

        (1) Preparation:

               1) Prepare adequate and suitable tools and materials: 1 set of SF6 gas decomposition product tester, 1 set of test pipe, 1 set of combination tool, etc.

               2) Check the power before starting work. If the power is insufficient, you need to charge it in time.

               3) Carefully check that the transition adapter is complete and that the seal is installed in place.

        (2) After arriving at the test site. First turn on the instrument power switch, the instrument enters the calibration, about 10min, connect the air outlet pipe (lead the pipe outlet to the unmanned place), and close the regulating valve above the instrument panel.

        (3) Select the adapter that matches the equipment, first connect the intake pipe to the adapter, and then connect the adapter to the device to be measured.

        (4) After entering the measurement data interface, click the “Start” button below, and the instrument enters the measurement state.

        (2) Slowly open the flow regulating valve and control the flow rate at 0. 2-0.3L/min.

        (8) After the measurement is finished, separate the adapter from the equipment and remove the pipes one by one.

        (9) Perform a sample gas purge to remove residual gas from the instrument to prevent corrosion of the internal structure of the instrument and turn off the power to the instrument.

Five, matters needing attention

        (1) Before using the instrument, it should be charged in time, and it needs to be fully charged for long-term storage.

        (2) When charging, just connect the power cable to the 220V socket. The instrument will automatically charge without opening the power switch. The charging time generally takes more than 20 hours.

(3) When the concentration of SO2, H2S, CO and HF in the detected equipment exceeds the normal value, it should be measured again to confirm the result.
