3D scanner

The real 3D scanner is not a flatbed scanner with physical scanning capabilities that we have seen on the market. Its structural principle is completely different from that of a traditional scanner. The files it produces are not our common image files, but they can be precise. A series of coordinate data describing the three-dimensional structure of the object can be completely restored by inputting 3DMAX. Since only the shape of the object is recorded, there is no color and black and white.

From the structure point of view, this type of scanner is divided into two kinds of mechanical and laser, the mechanical type is to rely on a robot arm to touch the surface of the object to obtain the three-dimensional data of the object, and the laser type replaces the mechanical arm to complete this work.

The three-dimensional data is much larger than the two-dimensional data of common images, so the scanning speed is slower, depending on the size and accuracy of the object, and the scanning time ranges from tens of minutes to tens of hours.
