Aixtron, a precision instrument factory in Germany, supplies semiconductor-related equipment and other products. Among them, Metal Organic Chemical Vapor Deposition (MOCVD) is the world leader in LED organic metal oxide vapor deposition (MOCVD) equipment.
In the third quarter of 2010, Aixtron's revenue grew 10.9% from the second quarter to $298 million (1 euro to 1.4 US dollars). Not only that, but its cumulative revenue for the first three quarters of 2010 was $783 million, which has greatly exceeded $424 million in the first three quarters of 2009.
Observing the proportion of Aixtron equipment application revenue in the first three quarters of 2010, LED reached 93%, significantly higher than the 81% of the whole year of 2009; and according to the proportion of revenue difference, Asia also reached 93%, significantly higher than 2009 82% of the year, the importance of LED equipment in the Aixtron business has been further enhanced, and the main supply to the Asian region is more distinct.
In 2010, Aixtron set a target of $1.05 billion in revenue, which will grow more than the $424 million in 2009, and its operating profit and net profit are expected to grow to four times that of 2009.
In terms of orders, Aixtron's new orders and accumulated unfilled orders in the third quarter of 2010 are still at high water levels. However, due to the conservative investment in equipment of Korean LED factories in 2011, will it affect the MOCVD equipment factory such as Aixtron Single condition, it is worth paying attention to.
