Recently, the city of Foshan, Guangdong Province, announced that the LED "downlight" local standard will be introduced at the end of 2010.
Under the leadership of Foshan Standard Technology Research Institute, the enterprise alliance consisting of Guoxing Optoelectronics, Zhaoxin Group, Kaixiou Lighting and Blue Arrow Electronics began to brew LED "downlights" local standards in the first half of 2010. Previously, the Chinese national standard for LED downlights was still in a blank.
Foshan lighting industry insiders pointed out that Foshan's voice in the field of LED downlights in the country must be consolidated and upgraded by setting standards, and the formulation of local standards will be further promoted to provincial and national industry standards.
Foshan currently has more than 120 companies engaged in the production and matching of LED products, most of which are transferred from traditional lighting to LED field. The application design advantages accumulated by these companies can also be exerted on LED lamps. The unified downlight standard will provide a quality "ruler" for the Foshan LED industry.
