US VCVD giant Veeco's Q3 revenue in 2010 increased to 277 million US dollars
Veeco, a US-based MOCVD (organic metal chemical vapor phase epitaxy) company, recently released Q3 earnings, with a single quarter revenue of $277 million, a 9.5% increase in the quarter and an annual increase of 180%. Among them, MOCVD's LED & Solar equipment division accounted for 88% of its revenue, which was $243 million.
At present, Veeco's main business is LED & Solar and Data Storage (DataStorage) 2 major equipment divisions. In recent years, LED backlight and LED lighting have developed rapidly, driving the demand for MOCVD, which has greatly benefited the company's Q310.
Veeco estimates that Q4 revenue in 2010 will increase by 8 million to 43 million US dollars compared with Q3, and business profit will also grow 4 million to 17 million US dollars. This excellent financial performance will last at least until Q1 of 2011.
